Gynaecological services

  • Medical examinations to address problems, pain or chronic diseases.
  • Exploration of issues related to pregnancy prevention, abdominal pain, diseases such as polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, irregular menstrual cycle, hormonal imbalance, inflammatory diseases, premenstrual syndrome or menopausal complaints.

Each gynaecological examination begins with a conversation and clarification of the specific problem. After the examination, we discuss with the patient what the condition is and what help can be offered by modern medicine. Nowadays, many gynaecological problems can be solved in a conservative way without surgery. There are tablets, gels, creams, vaginal suppositories and injections that can be successfully employed to address many issues.

Where surgery is unavoidable, minimally invasive surgery is my preferred recommendation. This is a widely range of modern technology interventions that leave little or no scars, at the same time significantly reducing the risk of adhesions in the abdominal cavity and greatly reducing recovery periods.

The main principle underlying any operation I perform is:

"As little as possible, but as much as necessary."

There are a number of surgical interventions that I can perform for diagnostic and operative purposes:

  • Laparoscopy (LSK) –for diagnosis and treatment of cysts and adhesions or for uterus and ovary removal, when this is required
  • Hysteroscopy (HSK) - for diagnosis and the treatment of polyps or intrauterine myomas
  • Cerclage - a small surgical intervention for suturing the cervix in order to prevent miscarriage
  • Thermal ablation = Endometrial ablation- intrauterine surgery performed through the vagina in order to reduce heavy bleeding, leading to significant blood loss and anemia
  • Conization - removal of part of the cervix in the form of a cone. It is used for pathological results of cancer smear and after biopsy. Access is through the vagina.
  • Abdominal operations with cosmetic suture
  • Vaginal operations- through the vagina, e.g. removal of the uterus
  • Operations in case of Vaginal lowering
